For serious bloggers out there, words just got out. WordPress just released the latest version of their famous blogging software, WordPress 2.7 RC1 (weird huh? they are releasing themselves! LOL). Anyway, with the release of RC1, they are nearing completion for the formal release of WodPress 2.7 to be used for production use (or whatever you call it). They have made 280 commits to the core since beta 3, improved the User Interface of the Admin using the winners of the icon design contest. And most of all, fixed all known blocker bugs from previous releases.
I’ve been using WordPress 2.7 from beta 1 to beta 3, and I immediately upgraded to RC1 as soon as I heard the news! This is it, first glance for the production release of WordPress 2.7!
Kudos!
Oh, if you are planning to update to RC1, always backup your blog before the update.
